If you mix a little bit pop, a few drops of rock and soul, a little bit of blues, a bit of Americana and you round it up with some doses of neo folk, then the result is nothing than a relaxing bucolic music, rocky in some passages, but always suggestive, fast paced and energetic Layla Zoe is a singer and a woman who knows how to bring listeners to her own ground, always with a soft fragrance, conviction, good taste and self confidence Except the opening song The Lily and a traditional gospel Glory, Glory Hallelujah Layla brightly and effective sings a cappella, the other songs are ten original ones displayed with an accurate and precise technique Layla Zoe’s voice is backed by Henrik Freischlader on guitars, bass, and drums and Moritz Fuhrhop on Hammond organ The trio successfully combines melodies, lyrics and musical dynamism, aiming to offer an excellent ambitious album to be tasted and appreciated by a wide audience and I think they will certainly get it
