After three years with no work due to the pandemic, Layla Zoe has come back on stage to do what she loves most, a tour along six different countries with thirty concerts in sixty days, that ended in one of her favorite clubs, the Spirit Of 66 in Belgium, where this double CD was recorded.

According to her own words, Layla feels enormously grateful to everyone who made this tour possible and especially to the people who came to her shows. That is why this double CD communicates an immense energy and a total delivery that becomes evident in the way she sings and approaches each of the songs that round up these two albums.

The first CD gathers eight songs while the second one presents five more. All of them are framed in rock, blues and very contemporary ballads, where Layla displays a wide range of vocal resources, ranging from an impressive aggressiveness to the most exquisite sweetness.

Twelve songs are Layla Zoe’s own compositions she has written in collaboration either with Henrik Freischlader or Chris Raines, Bob Fridzema or Jaan Laacks, which gives as a result a varied original repertoire.

Layla is perfectly backed by Krissy Matthews on guitar and vocals, Paul Jobson on keyboards and vocals and Felix Dehmel on drums. An album to appreciate the splendid Layla Zoe’s vocal skills, from “Golden Slumbers”, a very original version of Lennon’s and McCartney’s song that opens the first CD, to “He Loves Me”, the cut that ends the second one.
