The sweet and wonderful voice of Lawrence Lebo will seduce people who listen to the last recording she brings us Lawrence shows her wide range of musical resources, easily moving through blues and soul as well as passionately paying homage to Stax sound she has always been a true follower and admirer Her career has mainly developed in Los Angeles and California areas, where she started singing in small clubs and bars to earn money that let her live as a single mother In 1985 she founded a family with bass player Denny Croy who has been her husband and musical partner till now Lawrence has been able to develop and finish her musical studies, play regularly and, at the same time, take care of her family, so her working capacity deserves a big recognition Although their albums are well known and appreciated internationally, her family duties have made Lebo to consolidate her singer career in Los Angeles city Besides to let us enjoy of her vocal qualities, this last work gives us the opportunity to discover her skills as a composer, as seven of the eight album songs come from Lawrence Lebo, plus a good version of the classic T-Bone Walker’s song Stormy Monday Blues Lawrence Lebo and a professional group of musicians will totally satisfy listeners with an album full of sweet and delicious moments
