Louisville in Kentucky is the place where Laurie Jane And The 45s band develops his main activities This new album entitled Midnight Jubilee includes some of the rhythms that can be usually found in that city, like country soul, rhythm and blues and rockabilly Ten of the thirteen songs come from the band guitar, piano and lap steel player Cort Duggins The rest of the musicians are Scott Dugdale on percussion, Jason Embry on double bass and Laurie Jane Duggins on vocals, this last one shows she is a singer gifted with a vibrant velvety voice, who knows how to control and modulate it to reach a complete interaction with different audiences Also she has a strong communicative stage presence together with an undeniable attraction and a professional self assurance This is an original well teamed band which always displays an engaging sound although, sometimes, it becomes a littler bit dark and hypnotic, that will always make listeners fall in love with them if they decide to get a cd copy
