This is an excellent cd that has given me the opportunity to discover an original real artist who performs genuine traditional ‘back-porch blues’ Lauren plays acoustic guitar and she sings with a personal own style, good taste and real blues sense She also has a good vocal falsetto she cleverly balances together with deep influences of other singers like Joan Baez For the occasion Shenan is backed by Phil Wiggins, a harp master who has produced an inspired performing to make Lauren shine at a very high level and also gives the final touch to this delicious dish entitled Some Old Lonesome Day which gives us the opportunity to discover a very interesting traditional and contemporary acoustic blues performer who combines her music with some drops of folk, Peidmont, ragtime, country blues, roots and Americana styles, I have really enjoyed this cd, so I give her my sincere congratulations and welcome
