When an album begins with a cappella song, performed in a magnificent impressive way by a singer like Lauren Anderson, it is easy to guess what this recording will present to listeners. Countless times Lauren has been compared with artists like Janis Joplin, Joss Stone, Larkin Poe, Susan Tedeschi or Brandi Carlile and the true thing is that in each song she performs Lauren leads us to her particular universe of rock, Americana music and contemporary blues and does it with a more than a strong authority.
