Lara Price was born in 1975 in Vietnam during that famous terrible war At birth she was abandoned by her parents, so she became part of the ‘Baby Lift Operation’ that evacuated orphan babies to the USA, although unfortunately such kind of operation almost 90 percent did not survive So Lara is a survivor and her survival spirit makes her to be the true woman to sing the most black passionate music In 1997 she moved to the San Francisco Bay area in order to make true her dream of singing in a band Since then on, she has been involved in countless projects and she has also recorded five good cd’s In this last album, Lara is surrounded by excellent musicians, all them with an undeniable quality, like Jim Pugh, member of Robert Cray’s band, Chris Cain, Mighty Mike Schermer, also member in Marcia Ball’s band, Laura Chavez, guitar player in Candye Kane’s band, Kid Andersen or the backing vocals of The Sweet Nectar among others, in addition of a fine well teamed horn section in some cuts Lara has a melodious crystal clear vocal texture that helps her to approach a long varied bunch of styles from soul or grooves to pop and rhythm and blues In all them Lara Price feels very comfortable so I only refer to the album in order you can value it
