As you may easily imagine, Cambaya Blues Company is a band formed at Cambayá Records, a Spanish record label managed by Antonio Blanco -label owner since he started it in 1985- and final work productor.

The Cambaya Blues Reunion brings together some of the best and most charismatic Spanish blues musicians, under the original idea of paying homage to Robert Johnson, playing his songs and keeping his legacy alive. Antonio Blanco gathered some musicians to make this project true. Nico Huegin drums, Jorge Blanco bass, Phill Wilkinson, Hammond and José Fernández ‘Lito’ guitar are the basic band members. Sometimes the band also includes other occasional musicians like Suzzette Moncrieff vocals, Jeff Espinosa, vocals too, guitar players Lolo Ortega, Tonky de La Peña, Charly Cepeda and Francisco Simón and harmonica player Naco Goñi. Along the time they have been performing, other reputed musicians have added them to the line-up in puntual gigs and shows, like Mingo Balaguer, Quique Bonal, Raimundo Amador, or Mike Taylor among others. The album includes ten Robert Johnson’s songs, faithfully performed with the professionalism you may expect of all these reputed musicians, so there is no room for surprises.

First class national blues, very well done, with amazing versions and, over all, with an outstanding sound and excellent final production.
