Kirsten Thien had a more than promising future at Wall Street financial world, when she decided to give it up and completely devote herself to what she liked most that was to sing and compose roots rock music and blues So she started a musical career that led her to release four albums, as well as touring extensively all over United States, Canada and Europe She also founded her own record company and also leads a project based on the first blues women, making audiences to listen and know about the history and anecdotes of twenty pioneer blues women In this album and its song lyrics Kirsten wants to show the contrasts of the two sides of life like success and failure, hope and struggle or doubts and empowerment The eight songs selected to give shape to the album introduce us a good singer who comfortably walks along rock, blues, gospel and soul, and also show she is a good player who freely performs both electric and acoustic guitar Kirsten Thien is backed by a good team of musicians with the special collaboration of singer, songwriter and guitar player Raul Midón in the song Montañas, a Latin blues composition she dares to sing in Spanish, with a very good display
