King Size Slim has a lush tone and he knows how to pull out a bright sound from his Resonator guitar His aggressive straightforward style and his usual rollin’ grooves, make him become an original dynamic musician The eleven cd songs are King’s own compositions and clearly show his talent both as musician and composer His music can be described as roots music, even though his main influences can be found on ska, gospel, reggae and blues styles King Size is an accessible powerful artist who reflects with a social conscience, actual daily life problems In this album King Size Slim, born Toby Barelli, sings and performs all the instruments, while Roger Hubbard plays mandolin and Andy Newmark is on drums In short words, this is a calm cool acoustic album that becomes a real balm for your senses
