King Bee & The Stingers was founded in 2006 by singer and guitar player Mark “King Bee” Menefee. Their repertoire included classic and roadhouse blues. Soon they became quite popular in Indiana and Midwest. In 2015 Mark decided to leave the band to exclusively devote himself to work as the group manager, so he was replaced by his sister Sarah Menefee as singer and band leader who, with her powerful passionate voice, got them known nationally, besides reaching the semi-finals at the International Blues Challenge in 2018, 2019 and 2023.

Now the group features Sarah Menefee on vocals, Matt Boat on guitar, Wes Schrimsher on keyboards, Mark Carnes on harmonica, Jeff Shew on bass and Paul Karaffa on drums.

Starting from road blues, their style has evolved, and now the band easily and firmly moves not only in blues but also in the most actual soul and funk, besides performing their own songs, always showing their skills to catch the audience, thanks to a vibrant, powerful and really intense stage presence.

To confirm everything, they now present an album that follows to the last one they released in 2023. It has been recorded live from The Slippery Noodle Inn in Indianapolis, during a show they performed on April 2, 2024. Sixteen songs have been selected that practically cover the whole show the band put on that night and become a good example of the strength developed by this more than interesting band. Songs like “Baby Please Don’t Go”, “Statesboro Blues” or “Shakin’ To The Bone” will infect listeners with the electrifying atmosphere that was created in that fantastic show.
