Kimberly Allison is really a guitar fiend, a true monster of the six strings instrument It is a pity she does not sing but, on guitar, she has an exquisite technique, a direct bright style and a natural talent she tastefully develops along the whole cd Versatile, eclectic and always trying to better herself, in this album she pays homage to Albert Collins with the song Turn Up The AC, but she also winks to jazz musicians such as Joe Pass or Kenny Burrell with songs like Four Down Jump where you will enjoy James Murphy’s splendid chromatic and diatonic harmonica work But it is especially on the slow songs like No Dog, No Woman, No Best Friends Blues or I Just Got To Know where she really moves me There should also be mentioned Mister Blues’ singing and piano playing In short words here comes s bright, stong, well done cd by a real blues lady, Miss Kimberly Allison
