The south of Spain has always been a place that has given a huge amount of impressive guitar players, not only in flamenco, a style with countless examples, but also in jazz and especially in blues music.

Two amazing southern guitar players like Kid Carlos and Quique Bonal join forces to release a completely instrumental album where they show their guitar knowledge and mastery, along ten songs where they easily move on styles like blues, jazz, swing, country, ragtime or western swing, showing their influences are really wide and they are able to perform all these styles and many more with reliability.

An album that, despite it is totally instrumental, looks very attractive to listen to, not only for both musicians’ quality, but also for the variety of styles they successfully combine and play. You will find six own compositions and four versions like “Cannonball Rag” coming from Merle Travis, “Sheik of Araby” (a song The Beatles used to play in their early days sung by George Harrison) coming from Smith, Wheeler & Snyder, “Minor Swing” by Django Reinhardt & Stéphane Grappelli and “Back At The Chicken Shak” by Jimmy Smith.

An album where the most prominent aspect lies in Kid Carlos’ and Quique Bonal’s guitars, which clearly show the chemistry and harmony between both musicians, as well as their excellent technique they display with elegance and good taste in each one of the album songs. Finally, mention the special collaboration of Wolfgang Pintas on clarinet on two songs.

In short words, this is a recording to listen to carefully and savor on a relaxed atmosphere.
