Certainly Kid Carlos is one of the most effective Spanish blues scene guitar players Devoted to guitar since he was a boy, he has not got an undisputed technique and quality that have allowed him to lead his own band with reliability and work as lead guitar reputed producer Mike Vernon’s band Kid Carlos now presents a fully instrumental album where his guitar is only backed by Lalu Cordón on bass and double bass and Stefano Di Rubbo on drums An exercise of virtuoso guitar playing is what Kid Carlos displays along the nine songs chosen for the recording, which show the knowledge, variety, good taste, elegance and excellent sound Carlos knows to give out of an instrument that is an essential part of his life It is a pity Kid Carlos does not dare and decide to open his horizons and play outside Andalusia, his home region, because he would surely get a large number of admires and followers Also remarkable his courage to publish an instrumental album where, in addition to blues, our man walks along other not so familiar ways, always getting out successfully of the challenge
