Kid Carlos Band is a group formed in 2007 led by guitar player Carlos Moreno, well known in Spanish blues circles as Kid Carlos The same year they started their career, they released their first album Talkin But The Blues Since then on and during those long ten years, many things have happened to the band and especially to Carlos, like to spread his blues at legendary Cazorla Blues Festival as well as in some more festivals or that legendary producer Mike Vernon has rely on him for some of his last projects This album is a tribute and homage to one of the most charismatic blues singers and guitar players who is still missed by a large number of fans, as was legendary Freddie King, who has been the real cause and inspiration of this recording From the album title Cannonball to every song included, the album becomes a permanent and consistent homage to the late Freddie King Sixteen songs that let us appreciate Kid Carlos’ guitar stamp, but that undoubtedly have the imprint of that great bluesman who was Freddie King, whose spirit can be felt along the whole album The band includes the interesting voice of Miss Txako Jones, as well as Kid Carlos on guitar, Lalu Cordón on bass and Stefano Di Rubbo on drums and percussion, with the magnificent collaboration of Mike Vernon on vocals in a couple of tracks, Alvaro Gandul on piano, Fender Rhodes and Hammond, Juan José Puntas on trombone, Vicente Domínguez on tenor sax and Antonio Campos on trumpet
