For more than forty years, singer, actor and piano player Kenny Brawner has been in soul and blues business, always with a lively vitality and treasuring a wide experience.

His expressive strength lies in the determination, emotion and vibrant style he deals with his repertoire, not in vain when he performs live he is known as ‘the reincarnation of Ray Charles’ and, besides, Kenny presents a show on stage entitled “Ray Charles On My Mind” where he pays homage to this legendary performer. Kenny was born in Augusta, Georgia and, as it could not be otherwise, he grew up listening day after day to Ray Charles.

For this strong and spotless recording Kenny Brawner has surrounded himself by a magnificent cast of musicians who make him shine at a very high level to display a repertoire where blues, soul and gospel flow with a good dose of quality and skill, giving passion, elegance and intensity in equal parts into all his songs. Eleven outstanding Kenny’s own compositions with the exception of “Goin’ Down Slow” that comes from St. Louis Jimmy Oden round up this great album that should not go unnoticed by music lovers.
