Singer and piano player who has musically grown following the path of the most traditional orthodox Chicago blues music and deep Sunnyland Slim and other similar artists influences This time Ken Saydak gives us a cd recorded under his own name which shows the particular vision he has to play blues, that goes between the most contemporary modern arrangements and the most genuine blues sound and phrasing with a classic blues concept and performing Saydak perfectly combines the living blues essence with an actual displaying on a powerful straight punching kind of music It is a vigorous work done with great passion and feeling along the thirteen songs included on It’s My Soul If you were familiar with Ken as sideman on Mighty Joe Young or Lonnie Brooks bands, you will certainly love this solo album including his own compositions
