Kelly’s Lot is a Los Angeles coming band, led by singer Kelly Zirbes. The group also includes Perry Robertson guitar, Rob Zucca guitar, Matt Mcfadenn bass and Robert Dill drums. They do a combination of blues and cool funny roadhouse rock, with a huge neofolk air, always played with a very dynamic well balanced taste. The band performs their own material, providing a brightness, catching, colorful sound. This album was recorded live at The Montmartre Club in Brussels, Belgium. You will find a collection of sixteen joyful easy songs, which give an outstanding place to the lyrics, that jump to the first range over other different readings that could be drawn I will not detail for lack of space along these. A good interesting cd and, as the same band musicians say, sometimes they sound ‘mellow’, other times ‘moody’, many times ‘raucous’, but always cool, relaxed and friendly.
