Here comes the fourth solo album released by singer, songwriter, guitar player and now totally devoted to banjo Kate Weekes, a Canadian artist who, besides performing in her own country, has toured around so distant countries like China or Norway.

Her songs immediately drive us to beautiful landscapes with lush forests or juicy meadows and small villages where people celebrate weekend country parties to drink, laugh and dance in harmony or share their sorrows, sadness and disappointing problems.

With these images in your eyes, you can immediately get an idea of the kind of music Kate Weekes gives in her concerts and recordings. This time you will find ten songs that led us to Appalachian music with some dark ballads, but also to country, folk or waltzes, with small touches of Celtic and Irish music, and the most suitable instrumentation for this kind of songs.

Nature, imagination and sensitivity come together along the whole recording, where Kate Weekes shows us her crystalline voice, as well as playing acoustic and electric guitar and five-string banjo. Joining her are producer and multi-instrumentalist James Stephens on 4 and 5 string fiddles, harmonium, bass, 5-string electric mandolin, electric guitar and vocals, Brian Sanderson on sousaphone, flugelhorn, trumpet, venetta, jaw harp, pochette and mellophone, Rob Graves on a variety of percussions, Philip Shaw Bova on drums, bongos and tambourine and Christine Graves on backing vocals in the song “All In The Letter”.
