Katarina Pejak is a singer, keyboard player and songwriter from Belgrade, Serbia, who now presents her second recording for German label Ruf Records. In fact, it is the third one, if you count the one she recorded with Ina Forsman and Ally Venable as member of the Blues Caravan 2019, a tour that yearly coordinates and organizes Thomas Ruf, owner of the record label.

The album has been recorded in France, where Katarina currently lives with her husband Romain Guillot who has been the sound engineer, as well as co-producing it.

The cd features Katarina’s own songs plus two covers, “Honey Jar”, written by Oliver Wood, Christopher Wood and Jonathon Rix and “Money” by Roger Waters of legendary group Pink Floyd.

Katarina’s suggestive and wrapping voice slides with a soft and sweet intimacy along a bunch of well-chosen songs that perfectly match with her vocal skills. The album also presents some good professional musicians like Boris Rosenfeld on guitar and pedal steel, Sylvain Didou on bass, Johan Barrer on drums, Katarina on vocals and piano and the special collaboration of Laura Chavez on guitar and Dana Colley on sax, in one song each.
