    Valoración: ESSENTIAL

At the time this impressing album was recorded, Junior Wells weekly played at Theresas’s club in Chicago every Saturday night Apart from Junior Wells harmonica and vocals, the other band members were Buddy Guy guitar, Jack Myers bass and Billy Warren drums Bob Koester, Delmark Records owner, used to see them many nights, because he regularly went to the club and he was thrilled with them, so he decided to take them to Sound Studios on September 22nd and 23rd 1965, to record a bunch of blues songs The result of those sessions is this album we review now, with the pleasure to see it reissued on cd Twenty-six songs, eleven previously unreleased as were not included on the original LP The album sounds cool and genuine, full of magic and great strength The musicians are really sublime and inspired, and the result cannot be anything that surprising, gratifying and unique Nothing more than pure lively bright and original Chicago blues that, for me, is really enough
