When a music and guitar genius like Junior Watson decides to join forces with other really exciting and impressive musicians and relies on producer Kid Andersen to give shape and substance to a new project, the result can be no other than a totally appetizing satisfying album as this one we have on hands which it now daily played in my record player Everybody knows Junior Watson is a singer and especially a guitar player gifted with an outstanding technique, tasteful phrasing and greasy tone, who mastery knows how to combine blues with West Coast and jazz On the other hand Kid Andersen runs the reputed Greaseland studios that, in recent years, have become one of the most requested ones by many blues bands, where Andersen himself works as a producer for many of them This time Junior has counted with the valuable collaboration of Lisa Leuschmer Andersen on vocals, Sax Gordon on sax, Jim Pugh on piano and organ, Gary Smith on harmonica, Kedar Roy on bass, Andrew Guterman on drums and the stellar appearance of Alabama Mike who puts his amazing voice in a couple of songs Shot In The Dark where he sings with a terrific feeling and That’s Tough Fifteen songs round out an album that becomes essential for anyone who looks for something totally genuine and exciting
