A year later of previously reviewed album, singer and piano player Eric-Jan Overbeek, well known as ‘Mr Boogie Woogie’, appeared with Juke Joint All Stars, performing and producing this excellent album recorded for his own record label Jumpin’ Live was recorded live at Club Congress in Tucson, Arizona as a tribute to shouter great singer Wynonie Harris Pure rhythm & blues where swing comes up on a very spontaneous way, thanks to this bunch of cool excellent musicians who give us a very traditional passionate performing and get the amazing vintage sound of forties and fifties combos, plus a couple well teamed tenor sax which produce superb solos A splendid cd specially devoted to West Coast and ‘honkin’ & screamin’ lovers
