JT Lauritsen is one of the most complete musicians who can be now found in northern Europe as, not only he sings with conviction but he also he is an experienced and tasteful accordion, harmonica, keyboards and Hammond player Together with his band The Buckshot Hunters he is getting a good recognition all over Europe and they are now required in most blues festivals all over the old continent This is the first volume of the two that round up his new project, entitled Blue Eyed Soul he has decided to publish in two different deliveries As its title says the two albums are mainly devoted to soul music, an style he really loves although he never decided until now to approach, but this does not mean he does not feel relaxed and comfortable with it and, in this first volume, he gives us an unique lesson about how to deal with a so rewarding style for most listeners And if that was not enough, Lauritsen also includes references to New Orleans, Chicago and Mississippi rhythms, besides counting with the collaboration of Mike Zito and Dave fields in one song This is an ambitious album to be tastefully savoured many, many times without getting tired
