After winning the International Blues Challenge in 2009, singer and guitar player JPSoars has managed to build up a solid and very attractive career, which has led him to get a more than remarkable success Besides performing at the most reputed American festivals, he has extensively toured in Canada, South America and Europe, as well as releasing some excellent albums as is the case of this last one After playing with his band including Chris Peet on bass and Tab Benoit on drums at the Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise and regularly at the Big Blues Bender, where in both places their memorable jam sessions to the wee hours are still remembered, they have decided to give shape to a recording with some of the songs they performed there So they have selected seven own compositions and four interesting versions hey recorded in five days at Tab Benoit’s Whiskey Bayou studios in Louisiana The album also features Tillis Verdin at Hammond B-3 and organ on six tracks All the strength the band develops in live shows is perfectly reflected in this robust, forceful and powerful recording
