Singer, guitar player and song-writer JP Soars deeply admires the work of Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Wes Montgomery, T-Bone Walker, Albert King, Muddy Waters, Guitar Watson and Django Reinhardt among other luminaires He is also an amazing artist who combines in his music blues, forties and fifties jump, jazz and some West Coast rhythm and blues, where he comes from, plus Texas and California styles The album includes twelve excellent and magic songs, all them done with a very good taste and a wide knowledge, which give a fantastic final result The selected cd songs are cool and well displayed on a variety of styles Songs coming from Guitar Slim, Johnny Guitar Watson or T-Bone Walker combine with other ones coming from Willie Dixon, JB Lenoir and Muddy Waters, together with some own compositions Besides Soars’ guitar and voice there are other instruments like bass, acoustic bass, drums, sax, piano and Hammond If you listen attentively to this cd, you will realize why Soars is not a new musical promise but he has already turned on a reality of actual blues world
