From Minneapolis comes a singular singer, guitarist, keyboard player and composer called Joyann Parker. Gifted with a wild powerful voice but, at the same time, sweet and sensual, Joyann has selected for this recording ten varied songs that allow us to savor her eclecticism and versatility in the various styles she is able to perform with deep influences of American roots music, blues, country or folk rock, although in some songs you will also find some drops of New Orleans, rhythm & blues or Latin blues. In all these genres her voice shines at a very high level with a really personal strength. Joyann is cleverly backed by her band with Mark Lamoine on guitars and vocals, Tim Wick on piano and organ, Brad Schaefer on bass and Bill Golden on drums and percussion, as well as different guest musicians who contribute to give variety and a distinguished visibility to each song. Joyann feels really comfortable, which allows her to show all her performing skills, versatility, good taste and an amazing effective vocal strength when she approaches a repertoire that has been perfectly designed to suit her, in songs that are carefully displayed by this excellent artist.
