Born in Connecticut where he spent his early years, but raised in Florida where he grew up, Josh Smith used to go to the clubs that were near to his home where he played in countless jams sessions, and step by step he bécame tanned in the blues language After his graduation in 1997, he did his first group, Josh Smith and the Frost Shortly after Jim Gaines (who was productor of Santana, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Luther Allison among others) produced his third album and in 1999 back again was the productor of the fourth cd in his career After many experiences in the music field, comes a new release with Crosscut Records of this great artist, singer, songwriter and guitar master excellent teacher that will delight blues fans You will find in the album traces and features of the Vaughan brothers, Albert Collins and BB King, but also you will listen him flirt with Stax sound in some of its soul coloured songs, partly thanks to the excelent horn arrangements Prepare yourself to discover a talented 31 year old young musician who is called to become a revolution of the new Texas blues
