More than twenty months have gone since Josh Smith published his last album that, in fact, was very good received among fans. Now time has come to enjoy again with his work, his music, his guitar and, of course, his great voice. The new “Don’t Give Up On Me” has an excellent final production by Lior Goldenberg, Calvin Turner and Josh Smith. They got to work together and did a bright generous work that has materialized in this artistically faultless album. According to Hosh Smith‘s own words, he and everyone involved in the project, have assumed the idea of satisfying all blues fans and lovers but, at the same time, try to reach the highest places in different blues charts of American and European lists. The album moves between the emotional coordinates of modern blues, joyful, active and danceable, that aims to produce a happy atmosphere around all listeners, thanks to the effect of a very special arrangementes rooted in the most groovy musical quartets and quintets. The result is a combination of precise, eloquent but restrained blues with large doses of bright colorful elegance that surely will surprise you.
