Josh Hyde was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and for him blues, jazz and Zydeco were part of his daily life. Aged seven Josh moved with his family to New Orleans for a time. By that time Josh had already written his first song and when he was eleven years old he released “Mississippi Bridge”, a youthful reflection about the bus journeys he used to do every two weeks to visit his father. When he came back to Baton Rouge he started to play blues in the area music scene, where he met and shared stage with The Neal Brothers, Tabby Thomas or Silas Hogan among others.

This Josh Hyde’s new album gathers the musical influences of Baton Rouge and New Orleans, in nine emotional own compositions, all of them imbued with the special feeling of southern blues and the attractive wrapping atmosphere that appears when songs are performed with a genuine originality, thanks to Josh Hyde’s clever work on guitar and vocals, together with Jimmy Wallace on keyboards, Rockin Jake on harmonica, Shawn Stroope on bass, Jamey Bell on drums and Derrek Phillips on percussion.

In short words, a relaxing but at the same time dynamic album, perfect to be savored and enjoyed at any time, place and circumstances.
