Jonás Molina is a Madrid guitar player and singer Together with harmonica player Danny Del Toro founded Cotton Gang band which soon got a good recognition along the Spanish blues scene About three years ago Jonás decided to form his own band which includes Alberto Fernández on piano and Hammond, Ricky Avila on bass and Adrián Carrera on drums Finally and after a long hard work, he has released this first solo album, where you will find him firmly leading his own band with a selection of nine good songs, five Jonás’ own composition and the rest versions coming from JB Lenoir, Earl Hooker, Nick Curran and Chuck Higgins Jonás Molina and his sound technician Nacho Madero have managed to get a 50’s vintage sound along the whole album, with an effective carefully chosen repertoire, where Chicago blues, swing, jump blues and even boogie come together in an excellent mixture that will allow listeners to savor and appreciate the tasteful flavor and good qualities you will find in this promising and more than really interesting singer and guitarist called Jonás Molina
