Impressing genuine original treasure of acoustic blues, performed by this trio of old rural blues magicians who, for decades, have drunk of the most traditional orthodox rural blues sources. The real magic and intense feeling that come from this recording is the most fascinating I have heard for a long time. Orville Johnson plays mandolin, dobro, washboard and sings in four of the twelve songs included on it, also giving vocal support on three other songs. John Miller plays guitar and vocals in four tracks. Finally Grant Dermody sings in the lasting four ones, gives vocal support in “Trouble in Mind” and plays harmonica too. A passionate gratifying honest cd where blues is present from the first to the last key. BLUES with capital letters, good blues…. the best one!.
