Johnny ‘V’ Vernazza was born in San Francisco As you may know during the sixties and seventies the city was a throng and breeding ground of rock music and musicians, but there was also a lot of blues there Johnny grew up with all those music around, so he was deeply influenced by all those sounds Before playing guitar, he was bass player in a band that came to open to Quicksilver Messenger Service Afterwards he started a fruitful collaboration with great blues guitarists Luther Tucker and Sunnyland Slim Later on, he began to work with Elvin Bishop, who collaborates in this album as guest musician in the song that entitles the cd Besides other guests who also participate in the album, the band includes Johnny V guitars and vocals, Jim Reeves bass, Brian ‘Nucci’ Cantrell drums and percussion and Mark Bentley keyboards and harmonica An album full of raw blues and genuine road houserockin’ music with southern rock and Americana, that will give you joy and satisfaction
