Although Johnny Cox does not come from United States, when you listen to his music you will immediately discover he is deeply influenced by American blues Eleven own songs coming from this singer and guitarist that will surprise more than one by the tasteful music and the genuine passionate way he has to express himself Johnny Cox has a natural elegance but, at the same time, he sounds powerful and flaming along this varied collection of passionate songs all performed with an overflowing sensuality Besides, in some specific moments he spices them with some Latin rhythms and riffs, together with fruitful boogies, ballads, folk rock or swingin’ shuffles Johnny Cox is backed by Rich Greenspoon drums and percussion, Ian De Souza bass, Marty Sammon keyboards Other guest musicians sre harmonica players Ansgar Schroer and Robbie Bellmore, Neil Braithwaite on tenor sax, Kenny Neal Jr bass and the backing voices of Shelley Zubot and Brad Roth A varied, joyful charming album with a special flavor that makes it different from the music we are used to listen every day
