Johnny Charles is an amazing young guitarist, deeply rooted into blues power tradition, who follows path of new musicians like Joe Bonamassa and other bright blues rock stars so popular now But Johnny Charles is also a musician who has a wide knowledge of the most orthodox classic blues, which gives him an incredible technique and a huge respect for tradition Johnny always mentions his biggest guitar influences come from Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Albert King, BB King, Roy Buchanan, Kenny Burrell, Les Paul and Charlie Christian, among his greatest idols which becomes evident if you attentively listen to his new album Charles is not a singer, so he has called singer and harmonica player Nasty Ned to sing on a couple songs Nasty shows all his vocal abilities on the slow blue Take It Easy Baby and the medium tempo shuffle, She Moves Me, where he plays harmonica too and both musicians give the best of themselves Ten excellent blues, played with an extreme good taste by one of these new values to be discovered and enjoyed
