Since the time he started his music career back in the eighties, John Winkler, aka Juke Joint Johnny, has played and put the harmonica at the service of artists and bands like Joe Beard, Easy Street Blues Band or Gary “Shrimp City Slim” Erwin, besides leading various projects and bands such as Juke Joint Johnny & The Hurricanes. With them he has opened for many great musicians like Little Milton, Rufus Thomas, Bobby “Blue” Bland or B.B. King, in addition of sharing stage with Anson Funderburgh, Luther Allison, Johnny Rawls or Nick Moss among others. After so many years as an accomplished backing musician which has allowed him to reach an enormous quality and experience, singer, composer and great harmonica player John Winkler now starts his solo career with this amazing album that deserves the attention of blues lovers who will be deeply impressed by John’s quality. He also develops an amazing skill to wrap his music with his fantastic and mastery control of voice and harmonica, not only for the magnificent way he displays his music and sound but also because he is surrounded by very able musicians and good friends who mastery know and speak the same language, which is no other than the most genuine Chicago blues. It is a real pleasure John Winkler has decided to take a step forward and publish this superb recording for the pleasure and joy of good blues lovers.
