From Brinkley, Arkansas, where the annual King Biscuit Blues Festival takes place, comes this nice sincere bluesman who brings us, specially on song’s lyrics, an original personal own message, quite different from the usual blues topics proposals we are accostumed to Recorded in 2001, we can listen to John on vocals, guitar and harp, backed by his habitual drummer Carla Robinson and Dave Riley on bass They do a rudimentary support and I say rudimentary as a synonym of plain and suitable for Weston’s performing, which is a simple but effective dose of warm spicy and savory blues that will let us enjoy his straight sharp punching blues As John says, this is his best record
