After his second successful and well received album where John Pippus showed his most eclectic cool musical vein, this time he has decided to focus in the tradition of the blues, a music Pippus has always loved with a great deep passion This new project has led him to record ten songs where he mixes blues, folk blues, ‘neo acoustic’ blues, and even something that could be described as ‘world blues’ John Pippus plays electric and acoustic guitar, harmonica and vocals and he is backed by Tim Proznick on drums and Darren Parris on bass Ten original songs, nine John Pippus’ own compositions, and the one that ends the album Preachin’ Blues written by Son House, a bluesmen John has always deeply admired and he even interviewed him at his home in Rochester, New York Fortunately, in Vancouver Canada, blues is alive and well, full of expressiveness with artists like John Thanks a lot, John Pippus!
