Born in Boise, Idaho, singer and harmonica player John Nemeth formed his first blues band after listening to Buddy Guy and Junior Wells With them he was able to play as the opening act for the great bluesmen who visited that area But it was not until he met Junior Watson and Anson Funderburgh in San Francisco he decided to work full time on blues so he relocated in San Francisco in 2004 After tirelessly working in every West Coast corner and releasing a series of excellent albums for Blind Pig Records, in 2013 Németh moved to Memphis where he lives now Currently his band is formed by very young musicians, all them real masters of the style and material they perform and includes nineteen-year-old guitar player Jon Hay, Matt Wilson on bass and Danny Banks on drums For this new album John Németh wanted to capture the most distinctive Memphis blues sounds as well as the musical legacy of Tennessee in twelve excellent tracks he develops with an exquisite taste In all songs his voice and harmonica shine at a very high level, backed with the remarkable work of his impressive band The Blue Dreamers This is a fully recommendable album to savor over and over without getting tired
