This cd is the result of an old project Canadian guitar player Kevin Breit and experienced blues singer John Dickie had been for a long time thinking about The result is an original different enjoyable cd, honestly and cleverly conceived but, over all, with an enormous sense of humour But, can it be considered a blues record? Yes and no, because it cannot be qualified as a blues cd, but you can feel a blues atmosphere along the seventeen songs included on it All the backing musicians show a great knowledge and professionality, especially Kevin Breit, who has spread his music in so distant places like Brazil, Japan, Australia or Singapore He has also made his guitar shine with so different great musicians like Cassandra Wilson, Norah Jones, Janis Ian, Celine Dion or Natalie MacMaster An amazing eclectic ‘mestizo’ cd that will satisfy traditional blues fans and good music lovers
