Here comes the debut album of Swedish guitar player Johan Borgh. After years of working alongside other artists, Borgh has felt that time has come to show his value as a guitar player, as well as his varied influences ranging from blues to Afro-Cuban music, New Orleans rhythms or Hawaiian music.

Johan has been compared to Ry Cooder and certainly he treasures the same quality and technique of that legendary guitarist. When he was only 20 years old, he won the international guitar competition “Six String Theory” where some of the judges were such big names as Joe Bonamassa, John Scofield or Steve Lukather.

Although he has mostly developed his career in Sweden, Borgh was caught by styles that at first sight could seem very distant from him, but that he certainly knows how to develop and communicate with an extreme good taste and elegance, also showing a fine guitar technique. Although he had never taken into consideration to recording a guitar album, the insistence of his followers asking him where they could get his music, and the passing away of a very close relative, made him decide that he should record this album, something we are happy about, as it allows us to discover an outstanding guitarist as well as an excellent slide and steel guitar player, with an amazing variety of possibilities.

The album was recorded in three days in Stockholm, together with a group of very good musicians, and includes ten songs that become a relaxing journey through Johan Borgh’s musical universe, providing the peaceful and calm atmosphere necessaries to rest and savor the guitar quality and technique of this excellent performer, especially when you come home after a long hard working day.
