Here comes a versed hardened fellow who, when he was only twenty years old, already was on the road with the great JB Hutto, making continuous gigs around Minneapolis, Milwaukee and Madison When he settled in Chicago, Joe Zaklan became member of the regular band in the legendary old Pepper’s Lounge club There he shared stage with such brave great names like Lonnie Brooks and Little Mc Simmons, he toured with later on, together with one of the classic names of Chicago 70’s scene, piano player Bob Riedly, a white musician like Joe Zaklan With all this splendid background behind him, what can you expect of Zaklan and his band new album? Ten songs with explosive vibrant blues and good r&b, tastefully played by a bunch of brave experienced musicians with quality enough to make everything sound good, without any artificial and other esthetic resources In short words, a good album with a very interesting work, where all musicians have the real blues beat, swing and spirit, to perform with care and satisfy a wide audience
