Joe Mystery is an original instrumentalist who has a special chrm and an interesting way to compose a varied music, influenced by very different styles, but always with a particular concept full of a good sense of humor Although Joe’s music does not so much looks like, it reminds me 70’s underground group The Fücks, also with some other influences coming from Captain Beefhart and Mothers of invention, but without reaching the quality level of the mentioned bands Joe Mystery undoubtedly drinks of the sources of these yesterday three bands which, more than three decades ago, had a real prestige among young fans of music The album gathers ten songs, all Joe’s own compositions who also sings and plays guitar, keyboards, harmonica, bass and drums and it is only in the instrumental Joe Mystery’s Stampede where Joe is backed by Simon Burke on bass and Mike Toohey on drums Pop-blues for a new generation and a new century by a joyful daring fellow who will give fun to the most curious and less purist listeners
