This legendary bluesman named Jody Williams who, after many years in the dark, came back with an amazing shining CD called ‘Return Of A Legend’, now comes back after two years of silence with this new recording, where he has tried to follow the same musical concepts developed in his previous releases although, this time, he has not reached the same high quality and strength of his previous album.

Anyway “You Left Me In The Dark” is a reliable recording, with a concrete and direct conception, where Jody’s talent and personality are always at the front line.

Fourteen new songs that serve to enjoy all the magic and charm of a musical legend who gives us a varied repertoire, from shuffles to hot blues or flavoured jazzy songs, all them performed by Jody and his backing band who always show a great respect for this great master, and includes Rob Waters on organ and piano, Billy Flynn on guitar, Patrick Rynn on bass and Willie Hayes on drums and percussion. If we add a horn section with Willie Henderson on baritone sax, Hank Ford on tenor sax and Kenny Anderson on trumpet, the result can only be a totally satisfactory and convincing work. And the final gift is finding Robert Lockwood Jr., Lonnie Brooks and Chris James as exceptional guest musicians.
