Singer, guitar player and songwriter Jo’ Buddy celebrates his thirtieth anniversary in the music business with the release of a new album, the thirteenth in his career and the seventh one recorded as Jo’ Buddy. To do so he has counted with the collaboration of his good friend Down Home King III on drums and percussion and Sami Nieminen on Hammond B-3, as well as some other able guest musicians in some songs.

The album gathers eleven own compositions that cover a wide range of music styles such as swing, soul, gospel, blues, rock & roll and even gumbo and Latin rhythms. The songs were composed and recorded between 2017 and 2021. All of them communicate the feeling and good taste Jo and the rest of musicians have performing Afroamerican music and, at the same time, they manage to make listeners enjoy this bunch of own songs that Jussi Roulamo or his ‘alter ego’ Jo’ Buddy is able to come up with. All songs become a breath of fresh air, perfect to survive in these difficult pandemic times that we are all suffering.
