A band leaded by singer, song writer and guitar player Joe McMurrian Together with harmonica player David Lipkind, bass player Jason Honi and excellent drummer Jimi Bott (former Rodd Piazza, Fabulous Thunderbirds), form a perfect four musicians band, who devote themselves to investigate into blues roots but, at the same time, they add new cool ideas, which has made them become one of the most interesting groups of Portland, Oregon area The cd was recorded live from the White Eagle Saloon and for about two months they chose the best songs of their live shows at the club, to complete a bunch of eleven songs You will find some new ones and other habitual ones in their repertoire Five are Joe’s own songs, the rest are arranged Robert Johnson, Fred McDowell, Blind Willia McTell, Skip James or The Carter Family versions, plus a traditional tune, Coo Coo Bird An interesting record to be discovered
