The Jimi Barbiani Band is the new group of Italian musician Jimi Barbiani, one of the best slide blues and rock guitar players in Europe This Italian band mixes with an extreme good taste different musical styles that are deeply influenced by Jimi Hendrix, Joe Bonamassa, Jeff Beck and even Gov’t Mule, although their musical roots come from those musicians they used to listen when they first became interested in music and especially in the blues, such as BB King, John Mayall, Robert Plant, Blues Brothers, Johnny Winter or Greg Allman From about ten years, they have been booked at the most important festivals and clubs of Italy, Germany, Austria, Belgium or United Kingdom Surrounded by Daniele Vicar on bass and vocals, Gianluca Zavan on drums and most recently by Pietro Taucher on keyboards, Jimi easily displays his slide knowledge along some of the album songs, performing every tune with an extreme passion, good taste and cleverness, that make him engage body and soul to, in this way, drive his musicians and the whole audience to a collective trance that any listener could hardly escape
