Jim Gustin is a singer and guitar player born in Santa Clarita, California He has a very distinctive voice with a raw low deep tone, but he also is a seasoned guitar player who has got a wide experience, which has given him a great consistency and a robust style His partner in music is a woman known as Truth Jones She has been singing since she was a teenager and his impressive stature matches with her great voice she has mainly devoted to sing gospel and soul They have put together all their good work and knowledge to present us an album with a really interesting vocal combination quite difficult to find in actual blues and rock-blues bands This can all be easily discovered along the ten songs they have included in this recording they have entitled Memphis, where they combine with good taste and elegance blues, rock, soul, rhythm and blues and gospel, perfectly supported by an able high class band with Steve Alterman on piano, organ and keyboards, Terry Wilson on bass, guitar, percussion and vocals, Herman Matthews on drums and percussion and finally Teresa James on backing vocals The cd becomes a good way to give joy and temper the spirits of anyone who feels down and depressed
