Singer and guitar player Jhett Black pleasantly surprises us with an album full of musical references to North Mississippi Hill Country Blues. Its fresh and hypnotic music immediately drives us to the Delta, but also to the future of blues music.

After releasing a debut EP where he showed his love and respect for ‘roots music’, and winning at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Jhett started a new adventure by producing an own album helped by Glenn Halverson who has produced and mixed the eleven songs, with the special collaboration of Al Basile and Callie Sioux as co-producers. For the album he has decided to investigate all blues fields, keeping the essence and integrity of the style.

All the album songs have the hallmark of Jhett’s deep and personal voice, who vocally explores and goes to the borders of rock, soul and blues, helped with powerful guitars and especially the Resonator one, which gives a more melodic accent to a repertoire that could be described as a dark, Intense and sometimes quite near to heavy blues or garage blues one.

Finally, mention that among the instruments there is no bass, so the relation between guitars and the drums gets a special dimension along this original recording.
