Jewel Brown has been involved in the music world for more than sixty-five years Her career began as a child prodigy in Houston, Texas Only aged seventeen, Jewel already was one of the outstanding names at the Ebony Club- She earned a good living, which allowed her to buy a brick house where she lives today When she was only twenty years old, she joined a seven years tour all over the world with Louis Armstrong He had everything, money, jewels, furs, a current account, expensive perfumes… but in the early seventies she left the music to devote her life to take care of her parents When they passed away she did some occasional appearances, but it was not until year 2012 when a good man like Eddie Stout engaged her to record an album together with guitarist Milton Hopkins, that fame came back to her She has recently played at Chicago Blues Festival and has toured around Europe, Asia and South America Here she appears in great form singing thirteen charming and passionate songs The album was recorded in Japan in 2014 and Jewel shows she is at the peak of her musical career Jazz, blues, rhythm and blues and a little bit of pop perfectly combine in the hands of this versatile and veteran singer This is an album that will not disappoint any listener and serves to put Miss Jewel back on the high pedestal she really deserves
